Rémy Ngamije Wins Inaugural African Lit Award

The Inaugural African Literary Award recognized Rémy Ngamije as the winner on Sept. 8, 2022, International Literacy Day. The award is given to an African author who has produced a work of literary excellence and taken a leadership role in promoting writing and literacy in their local communities. Rémy joined MoAD, the African Book Club, and me for a reading and conversation at the virtual awards ceremony on Sunday, September 25. 2022. Watch the recording of our talk!

I've retired from co-hosting, but the weekly Writing Parties had continued: 2 Prompts & a Whole Lotta Community. As of August 1, 2022, however, the weekly Mondays from 5:00-7:00 pm, Pacific Time, are on hiatus as the collective reassesses capacity and energies, moving forward.
